Description

A swath of Harlem and Washington Heights—where pioneering artist John James Audubon lived in the mid-1800s—has been transformed has been transformed into a giant canvas for imperiled birds. The National Audubon Society and Gitler &___ Gallery have come together in this public-art initiative to call attention to the hundreds of species of birds in North American whose existence is threatened by climate change. On Sunday mornings, take a tour of 30 installations and John James Audubon’s resting place, or take your own tour using a map from the art project’s website.
