At the AMNH on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, you can experience the museum’s annual holiday tradition: the lighting of the origami tree. Decorated with more than 1,000 handmade paper ornaments inspired by the museum’s new exhibit on elephants, the 13-foot tree is free to see with admission to the museum.
