Kingsland Homestead

Description

This landmarked farmhouse, built in 1785, opened to the public in 1973 as a museum celebrating the history of Queens. Exhibitions about the past and future of the Kingsland Homestead share space with a collection of personal objects, furniture, documents and photographs belonging to the families who once lived there. The house is also home to the Queens Historical Society, which sponsors educational programs, local walking tours and talks about the area’s history.
