Jackson Diner

Description

After it opened in 1980, Jackson Diner became the original Jackson Heights restaurant to attract the notice of foodies in Manhattan and Brooklyn, luring many a new visitor to the neighborhood to sample authentic Indian cuisine. Decades later, the restaurant (not a diner, despite its name) remains a powerhouse, serving a mix of locals and visitors from other boroughs and elsewhere. The eatery’s versions of Indian culinary staples such as naan breads and dosas, paper-thin stuffed crepes, are particularly tasty and available during dinner and the popular lunch buffet.
