Black Spectrum Theatre

Description

Serving Queens since 1970, the Black Spectrum Theatre hosts stage productions, films and performing arts that help promote and bring awareness to issues within the African American community. The theater also doubles as a film and video studio, and rents out to up-and-coming performers in the community. Alumni include Iris Wilson (principal dancer in Broadway’s Fela!) and actor Mario Van Peebles.
