Description
Suffs, set in 1913, transferred to Broadway from a sold-out engagement at the Public Theater. Shaina Taub—who wrote the book, music and lyrics—takes on the lead role of Alice Paul in this story of the women’s suffrage movement, told from the perspectives of those who shaped it. Much of the original cast remains, including Nikki M. James as Ida B. Wells, Jenn Colella as Carrie Chapman Catt and Grace McLean as President Woodrow Wilson.
